Somethings just scream at you when you see them. The prevalence of the names Matilda, Thomas, Sarah, Nancy and William and the repeats of Delilah, Asa, Alvin. Leroy and Rebecca are pretty glaring. Does it mean anything? None of these are rare names. Sarah and Thomas are obvious choices for the children of Thomas and Sarah Asher. So are the others, if they honor siblings who are deceased. but when these less common names show up in the households of apparently unconnected Asher families living somewhat near by. In particular the family of Thomas and Polly Asher (who used Thomas, Matilda, Delilah and the very rare name Allenson, presumably after the husband of Nancy Asher Allenson McLeland.) seems to have taken its names from the households of Alvin and Thomas Asher.

So a picture seems to be slowly emerging.
