As I stated earlier, I’ve posted part of a large series on the Swartz/Schwartz family of Clark County, Indiana. To date I’ve published 2 pieces – the first on the “founding couple” of this lineage John Swartz and Elizabeth Ohlweiler and one on their oldest daughter Elizabeth Swartz and her husband Solomon Jacobs and their children and grandchildren. And the piece on the second daughter Anna Swartz and her husband Rev. Samuel Bottorff is ready to publish. BUT – I don’t have all the deeds for this family double checked. Since I did the original research I’ve changed genealogy software (MANY years ago) and moved from paper files to e-files. And I can’t be sure that everything I have is still accurately quoted and cited. So normally I would head over to the local LDS Family History Center and spend several quality hours on their computers since Clark County deeds are not available remotely. However, there is this little thing called Covid-19 and the FHC is quite appropriately closed. There is no idea yet when they will reopen. So I have gone on to the family of the second son Rev Jacob Swartz and his wife Rebecca Jacobs and their children and grandchildren. And as soon as I can I’ll fact check my sources on the previous article and get it online. Then I’ll probably post at least 2 pieces on oldest son John Swartz and his wives, etc. before posting the Rev Jacob Swartz piece. Just saying.
Update on the update – I have now published the article on the Anna Swartz and Rev. Samuel Bottorff and the children and grandchildren. Jacob and Rebecca are in editing!
